Get out of your Orangeville apartment this winter and explore all of the activities and festivals the city has to offer for both locals and visitors. To ensure that residents truly get to experience the city of Orangeville, our preferred property management company, Williams and McDaniel, has put together some ways you can stay active this season in Orangeville.
Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market
One Saturday per month, the Orangeville Farmers’ Market moves into the Orangeville Town Hall. Located on 87 Broadway, the Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market is a two-minute drive and four-minute walk from the Embassy Apartments and a four-minute drive and four-minute walk from the Mill Place Apartments. Visit the market to purchase locally raised meats, unique arts and crafts, baked goods and local produce. Enjoy the finest produce and feel good knowing that you’re supporting local farmers and businesses. On February 8th, March 8th and April 12th between 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. you can enjoy this indoor market.
Maple Syrup Festival
Welcome in the spring season at the annual Maple Syrup Festival hosted at the Island Lake Conservation Area. Bring your friends, family and kids to experience and learn about Canada’s sweetest treats and the making of maple syrup. Before you head off to learn all about this sugary liquid, make sure you fill up on pancakes and sausages, which are served right off the grill. In addition to an educational lesson on maple syrup, visitors can also enjoy wagon rides, live music and entertainment and maple syrup to take home with them. Located on 673067 Hurontario Street, this festival at Island Lake Conservation Area is an eight-minute drive from the apartments on 8 First Avenue and a nine-minute drive from the apartments on 17 Church Street.
February Blues and Jazz Bash
Warm up this winter with some great music at the Annual Blues and Jazz Bash on February 8th. Treat your ears to the musical styles of Larry and the Lawbreakers, the Soul Collective and the Jazz Society Ensemble. Located at 7 Buena Vista Drive, this jazz festival is a four-minute drive and 19-minute walk from both of the Orangeville apartments. If you’re interested in attending, you can purchase tickets at the Blues and Jazz Festival office at (519) 941-9041 or at Booklore.
