Celebrate the end of your busy work or school week by enjoying a relaxing night out. For those couples that want to rekindle the flame and leave the kids at home or individuals who are meeting for the first time, Orangeville has an assortment of local restaurants that are an ideal place to spend a date night. Make date night an opportunity to test out different foods and venues. To ensure residents get the most out of date night, our preferred property management company, Williams and McDaniel, has put together some places near their Orangeville apartments you’ll want to visit.
Mill Creek Pub
Established in 2012, the Mill Creek Pub is one of Orangeville’s newest and most promising restaurants. With an extensive menu that includes traditional pub fare like fish and chips, sirloin burgers, chicken fingers and more upscale options like smoked salmon flatbreads, Italian sausage and farmer’s fresh shepherd’s pie, there is something on the menu to satisfy every appetite. If you’re planning on taking your significant other out on Friday or Saturday, reservations are recommended so you can ensure date night goes according to plan. Located at 25 Mill Street, the Mill Creek Pub is a two-minute drive and five-minute walk from the Embassy Apartments and a three-minute drive and two-minute walk from the Mill Place Apartments.
Offering dinner service three nights each week (Thursday through Saturday), One99 Restaurant is the perfect date night destination for you and your companion. Enjoy an extensive menu that includes herbed foccacia, marinated feta, steak frites, beef tenderloin, salmon, smoked chicken, tomato and mozzarella salad. However, don’t forget to make room for desserts like vanilla ice cream bars, chocolate brownies, cherry tarts and strawberry shortcake. For great food, service and prices, drop by One99 located at 199 Broadway, which is less than a five-minute walk and drive from both of the Orangeville apartments.
Ruby Pier Steak and Oyster Pub
If you’re looking for a unique menu that will tantalize your taste buds, look no further than the Ruby Pier Steak and Oyster Pub. All menu items are made using local ingredients and are cooked fresh before patrons’ eyes in an open-concept kitchen. Indulge in French onion soup, spinach dip, Philly cheese steaks, butter curry chicken, burgers and wraps just to name a few. The restaurant also offers seasonal specials and unique creations like the Johnny Cash ‘Ring of Fire’ Burger, which contains some intensely hot peppers and sauces. If you’re more inclined to order seafood or red meat, options include mussels, filet mignon, stuffed chicken, half-shell oysters and cedar plank salmon. Since 1997, Ruby Pier Steak and Oyster Pub has been offering its clientele delicious dishes and accoutrements that will satisfy your tastebuds, so make it your next date night hot spot. Located at 101 First Street, the Embassy Apartments are a two-minute drive and 12-minute walk and the Mill Place Apartments are a four-minute drive and an 18-minute walk from the restaurant. If your date night isn’t too chilly, you and your date can enjoy a relaxing stroll through Orangeville before or after your dinner.
