Mono Cliffs Provincial Park
Among the many perks of Mono Cliffs Provincial Park (Mono Centre Road) is that it’s free. During the fall, visit this local park to surround yourself by the splendor of the season without emptying your wallet. The park has trails appropriate for all ages, including your littlest hikers. You may also find a small cave or two to explore. Mono Cliffs is nestled just north of Orangeville, a 20-minute drive from Mill Place Apartments (17 Church Street).
As expansive as it is beautiful, Island Lake (673067 Hurontario Street) boasts 332 hectares within a seven-minute drive of Embassy Apartments (8 First Avenue). There are a number of trails to try out here, from less than a kilometre in length to over eight, depending on how long and difficult of a hike you’re craving.
Tucked within the scenic Niagara Escarpment, there’s no better place to catch fall colours than at Hockley Valley (Hockley Road 7). Forested and wide-ranging, this provincial preserve is perfect for a fall hike and afternoon picnic. From Mill Place Apartments, expect a 20-minute drive to the park’s entrance.
While Monora Park (500 Monora Park Pavillion Road) is most popular during snowshoe season in the winter, this local park is still a lovely spot for a fall hike. Plus, during the fall, hiking is free. Enjoy fall colours from the Monora Park Pavilion, the picnic area, the pond or as you traverse the 18-kilometres of trails through the forest. Only a five-minute drive from Embassy Apartments, it’s easy to visit this trail this weekend.
Which hiking trail will you tackle first? The blog team at Williams and McDaniel hopes you’re able to get out and enjoy the fantastic fall colours while they last. For more information about Orangeville apartments, please visit our website.
