Learning a new skill or signing up for a new extracurricular activity is a great way to keep you busy this summer. Whether it’s an art class, fitness class or stress-relieving class, there is sure to be a class that is perfect for your lifestyle and for your budget. For Orangeville apartment residents who are looking to pick up some new skills this summer, our preferred property management company, Williams and McDaniel, has put together some classes surrounding the Embassy Apartments and Mill Place Apartments that you’ll want to sign up for.
Pottery Parties in the Hills
Since 2005, Pottery Parties in the Hills has been providing people with the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. Originally starting off as a mobile fired arts studio, in 2011 they created a permanent studio and drop-in centre for all to enjoy. While they do offer drop-in art sessions, it is best to call ahead to make a reservation to play with clay, spin the wheel and have the facilitator give you some guidance. During drop-in sessions you will make one item each ($25) and you can come in a month later to glaze it. Located at 28 Mills Street, the studio is a two-minute drive and five-minute walk from the Embassy Apartments and a three-minute drive and two-minute walk from the Mill Place Apartments.
Designed to suit a wide range of fitness levels, Acts Athletics offers a fun, supportive and engaging environment for all who visit. In addition to the group classes, there are also a variety of classes and activities that are more geared towards single individuals. For additional information on the activities and scheduling, Acts Athletics’ Fitness Schedule is a good resource to review. Located at 207321 Hwy 9 at Heart Lake Road, the Athletics Club is an eight-minute drive from both of the Orangeville Apartments.
If you’re looking for a fitness activity with well-known stress-relieving benefits, Johanis Karate’s Adult Karate Classes are a great option. Johanis Karate’s instructors work hard to teach students to defend themselves with practical and reality-based techniques. Get ready for fun, friendly and exciting classes that will help you unlock and enhance strength you didn’t even know you had. The studio’s Karate Brochure is another great source of information if you have additional questions and private lessons are also available. Located at 98 First Street, the studio is a two-minute drive and 13-minute walk from the Embassy Suites and the Mill Place Apartments are a four-minute drive and 19-minute walk from the studio.
